Data Collection Overview
Media Armor does not collect any Personally-Identifiable Information (PII). We do not collect your name, phone number, e-mail address, or anything that can personally identify you as you.
Data Collection Technology
Media Armor uses various methods to collect information, all widely used in the mobile and online spaces.
- Cookies are small text files that mobile and online web sites place on your browser. They are placed when you visit an Advertiser’s site or are exposed to a piece of display advertising. When you return to a site or view additional display advertising, these cookie files can be read by Media Armor. Cookies cannot be used to access any additional information.
- Pixels are 1×1 images that enable a mobile or online web page or piece of display advertising to set, read, and/or modify cookies.
- Headers are supplemental data placed at the beginning of another block of data that carry information about a browser or device.
Data Storage & Security
No method of storage is 100% secure, and we cannot absolutely guarantee its security. We have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure its safety.
Opting Out
Media Armor supports two options for opting out.
The first is specific to our platform and is a quick, single-step process:
- Simply click here and confirm your desire to be opted out. If you have any questions, simply call or contact us, and we’ll walk you through the steps necessary to opt out.
If you do decide to opt out, you will need to repeat this process for each access point: computers, browsers, and/or devices. If you use our opt-out tool, we will identify you from that point forward as an opted-out browser.
Media Armor also supports Do-Not-Track efforts, which provides consumers with a single, simple, persistent choice to opt out of 3rd-party tracking. DNT signals a consumer’s opt-out preference with an HTTP header. We fully support the DNT initiative and putting privacy in the hands of consumers. If we see a consumer’s browser, and at that time, if the DNT header is active in its settings, we will log activity without a unique identifier.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time. If we exercise this right, this policy will also be updated; please check back periodically.
Media Armor takes consumer privacy very seriously, as consumers ourselves. Please take a moment to read through our Privacy Policy, and contact us with any questions.
